TAKING ITEMS FROM PUPPIES

Can you please help, my border terrier gets angry when i try to take something off him that he shouldnt have. He picked up a sweet wrapper the other day whilst out walking which still have a bit of sweet/chocolate in, it was stuck to the roof of his mouth but when i tried to retrieve it he growled and bit me.  He is only 13 weeks old and am worried that my daughter will try to do this one day and get hurt.  As i could see that he really meant it!

In future i will take a treat out to tempt him off of whateever he has in his mouth, do you think this will work as i have told him off quite harshly but he is not scared of me.

Re: TAKING ITEMS FROM PUPPIES

Hello,

You have to show him that you are boss and you must do this quickly.

Male dogs have a tendancy to constantly try to be the leader. Unless you want to stud him or show him then get him castrated also.
