04/02/2008, 9:42 PM simba Joined on 30/01/2008 Posts 2 samoyed puppy 15 weeks biting children please could someone give me some advice.We have a 15 week old samoyed puppy who has started biting our children especially our 13 year old daughter.We were assured that samoyeds were child friendly so as you can imagine this is worrying us.We have tried shouting no and giving him time out .It does seem to happen when he is excited.He has lots of toys to play with .We dont know what to do next.Any  advice would be appreciated.    Report

09/02/2008, 10:15 AM mandy Joined on 10/01/2008 Posts 4 Re: samoyed puppy 15 weeks biting children Hi we have had the same problem with our 15 week old bulldog and have had a dog behaviourist out to help us with him..get a bottle with some dried peas or something that will make a noise and a water squirter and when he does something you dont want him to shake the bottle and growl the work BAH at him make sure there is  a growl in your voice not just a shout though..It needs to happen as he is going to do it as after he will not understand why you are telling him off..I know this sounds crazy but it does work..It is hard work and doesnt work over night but we have paid a lot of money for this advice and it has worked for us and our dog is as stibborn as they come..
