01/05/2008, 4:43 PM Heather Blend Joined on 01/05/2008 Posts 1 tick like growth on the back of his neck I recently found on my 3 1/2 month old purebreed shih tzy puppy a small tick like growth on the back of his neck. Thinking it was a tick I quickly grabbed the tweezers to remove it and it popped with puss. I felt the area around it and it also felt a little stiff. Once it popped I quickly cleaned it with proioxide and applyed neosporine to the area. Do you think this is a skin tag or could it be more serious. I did call the vet and they said it sounds to be a cyst. They have me a little concerned with there lack of concern or lack of information they provided to me.
