30/05/2008, 11:50 PM Roxy Joined on 30/05/2008 Posts 2 Excessive Salivation in 15 week old Dogue Puppy I have a 15 week old Dogue Puppy who has recently developed excessive salivation, to the point that she is soaking her bedding.  She has been to the vets, as one morning she was trying to be sick but produced nothing apart from some white foamy spit around her mouth.  We were worried that we thought she might have a blockage of sorts, as we found some stones in her poo.  After examination the vet didnt think that she had a blockage and gave her a clean bill of health, so we also had her vaccinated against kennel cough.  Later the same afternoon we noticed that she was starting to salivate a lot and this again gave us cause for concern, so took her back to the vets the following day.  This time another vet examined her and again gave her a clean bill of health, stating that he didnt think that there was a blockage.  She has been off her normal kibble type food, but will eat some chicken or scrambled eggs and is drinking ok but less that usual.  Her poos appear fine and of a good consistency even though she had gone from having around 5 or 6 a day down to 2.  She is urinating without any problems but these too appear to have diminished in quantity, but not excessively.  Other than what has already been mentioned, she seems fine in herself, but the excessive slobbering is maiking us really worried.  Could she be teething?  Many thanks in anticipation of your response.      Report
